Medicine cabinet shelf riser and narrow trays

A mirrored medicine cabinet is usually one shallow shelf and a landslide of travel bottles. Two quiet clear product types fix different inches: a bridge-tray riser that creates an upper deck, and narrow acrylic trays that layer small goods without drilling the mirror box.

Both freestanding. Soft prices in recent checks: riser about $20, narrow 4-pack about the mid-$20s (re-check live).

The problem

Full-size mouthwash never belonged here. Listings that show a deep hotel cabinet lie about US apartment depth. Adhesive shelves on the mirrored door are a residue problem. Measure interior depth—the door does not count.

How to measure

1. Interior depth. Back wall to the inside of the closed door/frame. Write the smaller number. Under ~3 in usable depth fails most trays.
2. Interior width and clear height. Riser footprint about 12 × 3 × 5.25 in. Each narrow tray about 11.34 × 2.95 × 3.66 in.
3. Bottle audit. Travel and pill sizes only. Skip bulk bottles—they belong under the vanity.
4. Shelf count. Some cabs have one glass shelf; some have none. The riser needs a floor to sit on.

Renter-safe: sit-in only. No adhesive on the mirror. Lift out at move-out.

Use if: You want multiple thin clear trays to separate pills, contacts, and travel sizes; depth clears ~3 in.

Skip if: Depth is under ~3 in, or the Med+ riser alone already solves the shelf. Do not buy both types if one footprint already fills the cab.

Fit caveat: four trays need four meaningful runs of depth/width. A 12-inch-wide cab may only want two.

Order

1. Empty the cabinet. Toss expired items.
2. Try the riser or one narrow tray first—not both on day one.
3. Keep bulk bottles under the vanity on a waterproof tray.

Clear layers, short bottles, door that still closes. That is the whole edit.
