Privacy — Stow & Style

Short version
This is an editorial website. We do not run an online store. We do not want your Social Security number. If you click an affiliate link, the retailer (often Amazon) may use cookies or similar tracking so they can credit a purchase to this site. That tracking is the retailer’s, under the retailer’s privacy policy—not a Stow & Style “membership.”
Who we are
Stow & Style (stowandstyle.com) publishes home-storage articles for readers in the United States. We participate in the Amazon Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
Information we may have
You type it. If the live site later includes a contact form, comments, or email, we receive whatever you send (name, email, message). Use that only if you want a reply.
The server logs it. Hosts typically record IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. That is ordinary web-server logging, used to keep the site up and to debug errors—not to build a dossier.
Analytics, if enabled. If a privacy-respecting or conventional analytics tool is added, it may use cookies or similar identifiers to count visits and popular pages. The live privacy page should name the tool. Until then, assume page-view counting may exist.
We do not sell mailing lists. There is no account system created for this content set.
Affiliate cookies and tracking
This is the part that matters for a storage blog with shopping links.
When you follow an affiliate link from Stow & Style to a retailer:
- The retailer may set or read cookies, pixels, or local storage on your device.
- Those tools help the retailer decide whether a later purchase (often within a limited window of days) should be attributed to this site, which is how a commission may be paid.
- The retailer may also use that activity for their own advertising, fraud prevention, and account features, according to their policy.
- We do not receive your full order contents, payment card, or shipping address from that click. We may later see aggregate reports (clicks, items in a product category, estimated fees).
Amazon Associates tracking, including cookies, is governed by Amazon’s privacy and cookies notices—not by this paragraph. Other affiliate networks, if added later, work on the same idea: a cookie or similar identifier connects a click to a sale.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you do, some site features still work; affiliate credit often will not. That is expected.
Do not assume “I opened the article” equals tracking of your pantry. Tracking for commissions generally starts when you click a product link (and continues on the retailer’s domain). Page analytics, if present, are separate.
Embedded content and outbound links
Articles may link off-site. Those sites have their own privacy practices. Embedded widgets (if ever added) can set third-party cookies; this copy set does not require them.
Product images
We do not host Amazon product images in this content. Posts use a described original diagram in the hero field instead.
Children
This site is written for adults furnishing apartments. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Retention
Contact emails are kept long enough to answer and then deleted in ordinary housekeeping, unless a legal claim requires otherwise. Server logs follow the host’s rotation. Affiliate networks keep their own records.
Your choices
- Use browser cookie controls and tracking protection.
- Read the retailer’s privacy policy before buying.
- Email us to ask what we have from a message you sent.
- Do not send payment information to Stow & Style; we do not check out your cart.
