Under-sink trash bag roll holder for renters (under $25)

Trash bag rolls do not belong in a wet pile behind the P-trap. They swell, they unroll into the leak zone, and you buy a second box because you cannot find the first.

The problem

The under-sink floor is also short on depth once the trap and disposal take the back third. A cradle that is about 7.4 inches deep only works if that bay is actually clear.

How to measure

1. Bay depth. From the back wall (or the front of the trap if the trap owns the back) to the inner face of the closed door. Write the smaller number.
2. Bay width beside the trap. Left or right—pick the clearer side. You need room for about a 10-inch-wide cradle plus a finger of air.
3. Floor-to-lowest-pipe. If you also keep bottles in that bay, the cradle’s top tray height (~8 inch class) must still leave a path for hoses.
4. Roll size. Club roll vs. standard. Confirm the listing’s roll capacity against the box you actually buy.

Renter-safe: freestanding on the waterproof mat. Take it when you move. Skip anything that wants screws into the cabinet floor or side wall.

Order

1. Mat first if the floor is bare.
2. Then the roll holder in the clearer bay only.
3. Keep paper goods off any standing water—report leaks; do not decorate around them.
